The role of citizen science in biological conservation

I'm thrilled to share the news that our Special Issue, "The role of citizen science in biological conservation", has been published as the April issue of Biological Conservation. This project began two years ago, at the inaugural Citizen Science Association meeting in San Jose, CA, where many researchers presented compelling talks on engaging citizen scientists in applied conservation work. The issue grew from there to include a total of 22 articles, several based on those conference talks and others from the larger community. A huge thank you to co-editors Theresa Crimmins and Abe Miller-Rushing, and to all the authors for their tremendous work to make this issue a reality!

Several authors have made their articles open access (some for a limited time only), so have a read and share widely!
